The Century Centurions will take on the Cairo Pilots at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Century focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Thursday.
Last Thursday, Century was the victim of a tough 57-33 defeat at the hands of Johnston City.
Despite the loss, Century got a solid performance out of Ashton Dillow, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. Dillow has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times she's played.
Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Cairo had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They blew past the Redskins, posting a 78-30 victory at home. The high-flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Cairo considering their 21-point performance the game before.
Century's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-5. As for Cairo, their win bumped their record up to 10-18.
Century beat Cairo 45-35 in their previous matchup back in January of 2019. The rematch might be a little tougher for Century since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
