Softball Recap: Cadott Triumphs

Cadott won the last time they faced Regis and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Hornets walked away with a 9-4 win over the Ramblers. While the Hornets didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The team relied heavily on Rilei Weeks, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Kaylee Reineke was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.

Weeks wasn't the only one making solid contact: Cadott kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive games.

Cadott's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Regis, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Cadott is set to take on their familiar foe Fall Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Hornets 4, the Crickets 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Regis will square off against rival Bloomer at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
