Niceville hasn't had much luck against Pace recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Eagles will square off against the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. Niceville's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so Pace's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Niceville's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over Crestview. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Chloe Bailey was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Anabelle Shackelford, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple.
Niceville hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Crestview struck out 13 times.
Pace never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Crestview last Friday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Bulldogs. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won ten contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Pace also got a great performance from Hannah DeMarcus as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 14 over five innings pitched.
At the plate, Britten Kettler was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3. Kamryn Pierce was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.
Pace's win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Niceville, their record now sits at 11-5.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Niceville has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Pace struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 15.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
