Westmont got a massive performance out of Ricky Yenkin, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most triples Yenkin has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Jaxson Chinea, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double.
Westmont hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in five consecutive matches.
Westmont is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-11-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Rickover Naval, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-9.
As of now, neither Westmont nor the Seadragons have any future games scheduled.
