Basketball Recap: Moore Sets Scoring Season-High Against Seneca

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Moore). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Seneca Red Hawks 82-36. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.

Seneca lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Janell Julue, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards. That's the most points Julue has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Arionna Tunstall, who had six points and nine rebounds.

Moore is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points over those games. As for Seneca, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.

Moore wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 54-15 victory against Southern on the 4th. As for Seneca, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 86-7 loss against Sacred Heart on the 3rd.
