Even though the Galena Pirates scored an imposing 59 points on Saturday, the Rockford Christian Royal Lions still came out on top. Rockford Christian took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 90-59 win over Galena. That's another feather in the cap for Rockford Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Galena still got an impressive performance from Connor Glasgow, who scored 26 points. The game was Glasgow's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Owen Hefel, who scored 11 points.
Rockford Christian's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Galena, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
Rockford Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on North Boone at 6:45 p.m. on December 15th. As for Galena, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Bellevue at 7:00 p.m.
