Last Saturday, Cleburne County was the victim of a tough 69-47 loss at the hands of Temple. It was the first time this season that Cleburne County let down their fans at home.
Meanwhile, Jacksonville waltzed into their game Monday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 65-55 victory over Alexandria. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Devin Barksdale continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 4 assists. The matchup was his 12th in a row with at least ten points. Jaquan Ervin was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Cleburne County's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4. As for Jacksonville, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3.
