Meanwhile, Westminster gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. Everything went their way against Kennedy as they made off with a 14-2 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Commanders: they've now won four in a row.
Josh Baca and Adrian Moreno made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Baca struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Meanwhile, Moreno tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Baca has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. At the plate, Baca got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Moreno went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those RBI marked the first that Baca has brought in this season.
In other batting news, Tony sisneros was a standout: he got on base in three of his five plate appearances with five stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Westminster: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 0-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Agustin Eudavedeloera, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Mountain Range has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Westminster struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Mountain Range might still be hurting after the 15-5 loss they got from Westminster when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
