The Prairie Valley Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Forestburg Longhorns at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Prairie Valley is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
Prairie Valley suffered their biggest defeat yet this season two weeks ago. They were outmatched by Slidell at home and fell 71-28.
Meanwhile, Forestburg strolled past Savoy with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 56-40.
Forestburg can attribute much of their success to Lili Cisneros, who scored 16 points along with two steals, and Brenna Briles, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Briles hasn't dropped below two steals for 14 straight games. Madisen Deason was another key contributor, scoring two points along with six steals.
Prairie Valley has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Forestburg, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.
Prairie Valley was dealt a bruising 66-34 loss at the hands of Forestburg when the teams last played back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Briles, who dropped a triple-double on 16 points, 14 rebounds, and ten assists. Now that Prairie Valley knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
