Holden has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on The St. Michael the Archangel Guardians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Holden got the win against Lexington by a conclusive 32-6.
Meanwhile, St. Michael the Archangel got themselves on the board against Sherwood on Friday, but Sherwood never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Marksmen 38-0 at home. The victory was familiar territory for St. Michael the Archangel who now have three in a row.
Cam Zaun was his usual excellent self, rushing for 80 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries, while also throwing for 166 yards and two touchdowns. Trevor Green also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Holden's win was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 7-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.6 points per game. As for St. Michael the Archangel, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
