After soaring to 63 points the game before, the Romulus Eagles were a bit more limited in their match on Saturday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Renaissance an easy 44-19 win. While losing is never fun, Romulus can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while Renaissance is ranked eighth).
Romulus' loss came despite strong showings from Samaira Searcy and Karma Jones-Johnson. Searcy scored eight points along with eight rebounds, while Jones-Johnson scored seven points. Searcy is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.
