In what's become a running theme this season, St. Charles gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 60-28 victory over Great Mills at home. Winning may never get old, but St. Charles sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
St. Charles' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from McKenzie Thomas, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaela Spears, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Despite the loss, Great Mills still got an impressive performance from A'Naija Bush, who scored five points along with five rebounds and two blocks. Bush hasn't dropped below two blocks for three straight games.
St. Charles' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Great Mills, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Charles won't have much time to rest: their next match is against North Point at 6:30 p.m. on January 18th. North Point has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 303 points over their last five matches. As for Great Mills, they will be playing at home against Northern at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Northern has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
