The Ware Shoals Hornets proved they can win big last Monday (they won by 39) but on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged Whitmire out 37-34. The win made it back-to-back wins for Ware Shoals.
It was another big night for Jayce Medlin, who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds. Jace Stewart was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 14 rebounds and two steals.
Ware Shoals has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season. As for Whitmire, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ware Shoals will take on the Blue Flashes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Whitmire, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Hornets at 7:30 p.m. Dixie has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 614 points over their last ten matches.
