The Leander Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Lockhart Lions at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Friday, Leander kept a clean sheet against Cedar Park. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Timberwolves. Leander wouldn't have won without Noah Calvillo, who scored the game-winner.
Lockhart can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Lehman. The win was just what Lockhart needed coming off of a 4-0 loss in their prior matchup.
The win made it two in a row for Leander and bumps their season record up to 4-6-4. As for Lockhart, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8-2.
Leander came out on top in a nail-biter against Lockhart in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, sneaking past 1-0. Will Leander repeat their success, or does Lockhart have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
