The Arcadia Titans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Thunderbird Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Arcadia comes in on 11 and Thunderbird on four.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Arcadia had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Coconino and snuck past 23-20.
Brady Forst was his usual excellent self, rushing for 176 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.0 yards per carry. Forst has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last nine times he's played. Another player making a difference was Braylen Rooney, who threw for 110 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Thunderbird slipped by Bradshaw Mountain 17-16 on Thursday.
Thunderbird relied on the efforts of Elijah Little, who , and Tyler Woods, who rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Woods' longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards.
Arcadia pushed their record up to 11-0 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.6 points per game. As for Thunderbird, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.
