The Stilwell Indians can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Locust Grove 74-47 at home. Stilwell pushed the score to 56-34 by the end of the third, a deficit the Pirates had little chance of recovering from.
Stilwell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Prairie Holmes, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. Holmes hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Snowda Watie was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight assists and seven steals.
Stilwell is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Locust Grove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-5.
Stilwell will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Muldrow is looking to tack on another W to their nine-game streak on the road. Locust Grove will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
