The Ripon Indians waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They snuck past Riverbank with a 48-42 win. That's another feather in the cap for Ripon, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ripon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ty Herrin, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Herrin has scored all season. Landon Gillespie was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds.
Ripon has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. As for Riverbank, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ripon will take on the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Escalon will be looking to keep their 11-game home win streak alive. As for Riverbank, they will head out on the road to square off against the Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
