Southeast Career Tech won the last time they faced Mater Academy East Las Vegas and things went their way on Friday too. The Roadrunners walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Knights. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Roadrunners.

Mikaela Fellows paced Southeast Career Tech's offense, picking up 12 kills. Fellows got some help from Ashlyn Winans and her 13 assists. Fellows also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Gabriella Birch, racking up three apiece.

Southeast Career Tech's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Mater Academy East Las Vegas, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Southeast Career Tech has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Campbell on the 29th. As for Mater Academy East Las Vegas, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Sunrise Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on September 8. The Knights are facing the Miners at the right time seeing as the Miners are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
