Make it 11 blowout wins for the Richmond Red Devils this season. They claimed a resounding 71-30 victory over Centerville at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-14.
Richmond's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mason Carpenter led the charge by scoring 18 points. Carpenter continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cedric Horton, who scored 17 points.
Richmond's victory bumped their record up to 17-1. As for Centerville, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.
Richmond's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Harrison at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Harrison will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 96th, while Richmond is ranked 21st). Centerville on the road again on Thursday and play against Union County at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th. Union County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
