After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Kennedy, the Dwight Morrow Maroon Raiders were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They snuck past Fort Lee with a 60-55 victory. Given Dwight Morrow's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while Fort Lee is ranked 301st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Fort Lee's loss came despite strong showings from Guy Vickers and Devin Jang. Vickers dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds, while Jang scored 22 points. Vickers is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games he's played.
Dwight Morrow pushed their record up to 8-4 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Fort Lee, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.
Dwight Morrow and Pascack Valley will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Pascack Valley will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Fort Lee, they will head out on the road to face off against Pascack Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
