After soaring to 57 points the game before, the Cross Keys Indians were a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They took a serious blow against W D Mohammed, falling 75-20. Cross Keys lost against W D Mohammed in their previous head to head back in December of 2019, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 59-22 score last time.
Despite the loss, Cross Keys had strong showings from Geronimo Edwards, who scored 7 points, and Christian Holmes, who scored 7 points. Holmes scored a full 35% of Cross Keys' points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Cross Keys' defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for W D Mohammed, their victory bumped their record up to 1-3.
Cross Keys is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Lakeside at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. Lakeside is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. W D Mohammed will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Carver at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th.
