Blanco has been on the road for four straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Lago Vista Vikings at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Blanco has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Saturday, Blanco really took it to Marion for the full four quarters, racking up a 55-28 victory on the road.
Mina Broyles was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Blanco's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Candice Lopez, who scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 steals.
Meanwhile, Lago Vista unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They received a tough blow as they fell 33-18 to Johnson City. While losing is never fun, Lago Vista can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 725th, while Johnson City is ranked 290th).
Blanco's win lifted them to 3-6 while Marion's defeat dropped them down to 3-7.
Blanco and Lago Vista were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, but Blanco came up empty-handed after a 37-36 loss. Will Blanco have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get analysis of the match and other basketball content.
