Last Friday, Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake didn't have too much trouble with Queensbury on the road as they won 34-20. Given Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake's advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while Queensbury is ranked 260th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dj Mosher, who rushed for 57 yards and three touchdowns. Mosher is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played. Myles Yannuzzi was another key contributor, throwing for 95 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Mohonasen came up short against South Glens Falls on Friday and fell 38-26.
Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake has been no stranger to the win column this season, as they've started out with wins in five of their first six matches, giving them a 5-1 record. As for Mohonasen, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 0-7.
Everything came up roses for Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake against Mohonasen in their previous matchup back in April of 2021 as the squad secured a 55-14 win. Will Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake repeat their success, or does Mohonasen have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
