The LaSalle Royal Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 57-43 fall against Ransom Everglades. LaSalle has not had much luck with Ransom Everglades recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
LaSalle lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Armand Du Lau, who scored seven points. Another player making a difference was Lucas Piedra, who scored six points.
Ransom Everglades found their leader in underclassman Zeke Battier, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Battier has scored at least 25% of Ransom Everglades' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Silvetz, who scored ten points.
LaSalle has fallen quite a ways from their 14-6 record last season and are now at 1-5. As for Ransom Everglades, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.
LaSalle will head out on the road to face off against Ferguson at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ransom Everglades won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Monsignor Pace at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. Monsignor Pace has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
