The Lincoln Wolves won the last time they faced the Green Forest Tigers, and things went their way on Friday too. Lincoln strolled past Green Forest with points to spare, taking the game 67-50. Given Lincoln's advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while Green Forest is ranked 224th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Green Forest still got an impressive performance from Brayden Compton, who scored 14 points along with two steals. Aaron Strain was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Even though they lost, Green Forest were working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. This was only their 12th loss (out of 17 games) when they've passed the ball that well.
Lincoln has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which lines up perfectly with their 15-5 record this season. As for Green Forest, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln will face off against Valley Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
