The Springside Chestnut Hill Academy Blue Devils won against the Sankofa Freedom Academy Warriors on Thursday with 74 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Springside Chestnut Hill Academy simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Sankofa Freedom Academy 74-46 at home. Considering Springside Chestnut Hill Academy has won three matchups by more than 26 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Sankofa Freedom Academy's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Nafise Dubose, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Nasir WIlliams, who scored 15 points along with 7 rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Springside Chestnut Hill Academy and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Sankofa Freedom Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springside Chestnut Hill Academy will challenge Academy of the New Church at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sankofa Freedom Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Varsity Opponent at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Varsity Opponent is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
