Garrett Murphy Delivers Best Performance of Season
Garrett Murphy produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Laurens Academy to the win on Friday. Murphy rushed for 320 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 20.0 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now rushed for 159 or more in the last five games he's played dating back to last season.

He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run.

Charlie Bonds's big game helped extend Richard Winn Academy's winning streak to seven on Friday. Bonds was dynamite, throwing for 184 yards and four touchdowns on perfect 7-for-7 passing, while also rushing for 73 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.
