The Gambell King Polar Bear put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 66-54 win over White Mountain. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Gambell also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2022.
Gambell found their leader in underclassman Jarvis Campbell-Soonagrook, who scored 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Campbell-Soonagrook has scored all season. Damian Campbell-Newhall was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
White Mountain's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jadyn Barr, who scored 22 points, and Kaden Adams who scored 18 points. Adams has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of James Ione, Jr., who scored six points.
Gambell's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for White Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
Gambell's homestand continues as they prepare to take on White Mountain at 9:00 p.m. on January 26th. White Mountain is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 70.3 points per game. As for they, they will head out on the road to square off against Gambell at 9:00 p.m. on Friday. Gambell knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully White Mountain likes a good challenge.
