Kenry Hutchcraft was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 12 matchups.

In other batting news, Alivia Rice was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Musgrave, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Fairfield kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 9.8.
Meanwhile, Edwards County came up short against Fairfield on Tuesday and fell 7-4.
Grace Bishop was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double. Holly Hensley also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Fairfield's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Edwards County, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
Fairfield beat Edwards County 7-4 in their previous matchup on Tuesday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mules since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
