 The  win  made it two in a row for DeKalb and  bumps their season record up to 7-3. As for Freeport, their  loss was their first of the  season and makes their record 7-1.
 DeKalb will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Guilford at 4:30  p.m. As for Freeport, they will square off against PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central at 3:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
