It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Ridgedale Rockets ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They skirted past Upper Scioto Valley 43-40. This was payback for Ridgedale, who suffered a 40-30 loss the last time these two teams met.
Upper Scioto Valley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Nevaeh Lowery, who scored ten points along with seven assists. Those seven assists set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Brielle Cotterman, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds.
The victory got Ridgedale back to even at 6-6. As for Upper Scioto Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
Ridgedale will head out on the road to face off against Hardin Northern at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Upper Scioto Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Riverdale at 12:00 p.m.
