On Friday, The Gladbrook-Reinbeck Rebels faced the Central City Wildcats in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Gladbrook-Reinbeck put the hurt on Central City with a sharp 36-12 win. Considering Gladbrook-Reinbeck has won eight matches by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Gladbrook-Reinbeck's victory was their sixth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 9-1. As for Central City, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-2.
Gladbrook-Reinbeck will face off against Clarksville at TBD on Friday. One thing working in Clarksville's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season. Central City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
