The Vista del Lago Eagles had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They breezed by Valley at home to the tune of 72-19. That 72-19 margin sets a new team best for Vista del Lago this season.
Vista del Lago had a senior duo take command as Jesse Petersen scored 14 points along with three steals and Tyler Lawrence scored ten points along with five rebounds. Lawrence also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Noguchi, who scored six points.
Vista del Lago's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Valley, their loss was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vista del Lago won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Antelope at 6:00 p.m. on December 16th. Antelope has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 491 points over their last seven matchups. Valley will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against McClymonds at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th. McClymonds is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
