For the second straight game, New Trier will face off against Maine South. The Trevians will welcome the Hawks at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. New Trier is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.

New Trier is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Maine South just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 10-2 to the Hawks. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Trevians, who until this matchup were averaging 3.88 runs allowed.

For Maine South's part, Nate Cera was excellent, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Vale, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI.

New Trier's defeat dropped their record down to 19-6-1. As for Maine South, they now have a winning record of 14-13.
