Basketball Recap: Wonderful College Prep Academy's Losing Streak Snapped at 14 Games

Wonderful College Prep Academy can finally bid farewell to their 14-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Wednesday. They really took it to the San Luis Obispo Classical Academy Grizzlies for the full four quarters, racking up a 61-34 win. The Lions' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Leading Wonderful College Prep Academy to victory were Juan Negrete and Joseph Almaraz. Negrete posted 24 points and four steals, while Almaraz had 21 points and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Almaraz has scored at least a third of Wonderful College Prep Academy's points. Jose Cabezas was another key player, putting up four points.

Wonderful College Prep Academy's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-8. As for San Luis Obispo Classical Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.
