The Heritage Christian Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Christian Community on the road and fell 52-21. Heritage Christian lost against Christian Community in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 53-43 score last time.
Seth Roberts was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with seven rebounds and three steals for Christian Community. Another player making a difference was Grant Doeringer, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and seven steals.
Heritage Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Christian Community, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.
Heritage Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lawrence Upper at 5:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. As for Christian Community, they will head out on the road to face off against Westside Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
