The Westview Wolverines will face off against the Chula Vista Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Westview walked away with it. They snuck past Bonita Vista with a 14-10 win on Friday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Westview.
Amare Gomez was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Chula Vista waltzed into Friday's matchup with four straight wins but they left with five. They strolled past Olympian with points to spare, taking the game 27-10.
Chula Vista can attribute much of their success to Paul Alvarez, who rushed for 104 yards and two touchdowns.
Westview has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Chula Vista, they have yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 9-2 record.
