Trinity Stevens, Alva's leading pitcher, solidified her role on Monday. Nobody could stop Stevens as she struck out 11 batters over 7 innings while giving up no earned (and three unearned) runs off 7 hits. She has also been pretty much perfect as far as strikeouts are concerned: she hasn't struck out any for eight straight games.
Looking ahead, Stevens and Alva will be playing at home against Perry at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Thanks in part to Stevens' efforts, the Goldbugs will roll in on a three-game winning streak. Will Stevens and the rest of the team keep the streak alive? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
