The West Clermont Wolves fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They took down Talawanda 66-51 on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for West Clermont, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Rayshawn Hubbard continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 31 points and nine rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of West Clermont's points. Lane Madden was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
West Clermont's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-14. As for Talawanda, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-18.
West Clermont will look to defend their home court on Friday against Loveland at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully West Clermont focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday. As for Talawanda, they will head out on the road to take on Reading at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
