College Park is 10-0 against Oak Ridge since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The College Park Cavaliers will head out on the road to challenge the Oak Ridge War Eagles at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (College Park has seven straight wins, Oak Ridge has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Even though Conroe scored an imposing 55 points on Wednesday, College Park still came out on top. College Park took down Conroe 72-55. College Park pushed the score to 54-34 by the end of the third, a deficit Conroe cut but never quite recovered from.
College Park got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Aiden Buckmon out in front who scored 16 points along with five assists. Buckmon is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dalyn Johnson, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Oak Ridge came up short against New Caney on Saturday and fell 57-48. Oak Ridge has struggled against New Caney recently, as their contest on Saturday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
College Park's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 30-4. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 29.4 points. As for Oak Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-22 record this season.
Everything went College Park's way against Oak Ridge when the teams last played last Wednesday as College Park made off with a 71-46 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for College Park since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
