After five games on the road, Wharton is heading back home. They will take on Palacios at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Wharton will be strutting in after a win while Palacios will be coming in after a defeat.
Wharton faced off against La Marque for the first time this season, and Wharton walked away the winners. They skirted past La Marque 2-1. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Wharton has managed all season.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Leo Camacho and
Joseph Mata, who scored.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Palacios, who are still winless after their fifth contest. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 6-0 walloping at the hands of Lee last Friday.
Wharton's win bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Palacios, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
Wharton skirted past Palacios 1-0 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Does Wharton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Palacios turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
