The Karns City Gremlins are taking a road trip to  face off against the Cranberry Area Berries  at 4:15  p.m.  on Wednesday. Both come into the  contest bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
While Karns City's  win against Keystone wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Gremlins won by a  run and slipped past the Panthers  9-8. The Gremlins haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive  victory against them.

 Aubrey Taylor was  incredible,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with three  stolen bases and two  runs. Those  three  stolen bases gave  her a new career-high.  Lyrik Reed was another key player,  getting on base  in two of her four plate appearances with three  stolen bases and two  runs.
 Karns City  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .562. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Cranberry Area waltzed into their match  on Monday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They never let the Warriors get on the board and left with  a   13-0  win. The Berries might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by nine  runs or more this season.
  Danica Wenner was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. That  home run marked the first that  she has  launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Avery Coe, who  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, two  runs,  and one  stolen base.
 Karns City's victory was  their sixth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 7-5. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Cranberry Area, their record now sits at 8-3.
 Karns City took their  victory against Cranberry Area  when the teams last played  back in April of 2023 by a conclusive  11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Gremlins since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
