The Florida Christian Patriots can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Sunset 71-40 on the road. Given Florida Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 95th, while Sunset is ranked 467th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kohl Rosario was his usual excellent self, scoring 28 points. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last 17 games he's played. Ryan Rangel was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Florida Christian and bumps their season record up to 15-6. As for Sunset, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
Florida Christian will be playing at home against Westminster Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westminster Christian is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Sunset, they will take on LaSalle at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
