The Arlington Spy Ponders are taking a road trip to square off against the Arlington Catholic Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Arlington has three straight victories, Arlington Catholic has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Thursday, Arlington earned a 7-3 win over Belmont.
Soline Fisher made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double was her first of the season.

Arlington Catholic's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. Arlington has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.5 strikeouts per game. Arlington came out on top in a nail-biter against Arlington Catholic in their previous matchup back in April, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spy Ponders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
