Webster City will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Spencer at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Webster City had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They took their contest against Gilbert last Friday 14-6.
Meanwhile, Spencer might have drawn first blood against Spirit Lake last week, but it was Spirit Lake who got the last laugh. Spencer took a 13-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of Spirit Lake.
Webster City's win lifted them to 1-0 while Spencer's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Webster City can add another positive mark to their record or if Spencer can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Webster City's step.
