A Season-Best Effort from Jamon Wilson Leads Highland Park over Washington
On Thursday, Highland Park got the W thanks in part to Jamon Wilson playing the best football he has all season. Wilson rushed for 203 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also picked up 120 receiving yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an incredible 93 yards.
Highland Park pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Wilson and Highland Park will stay at home for another week and welcome Pittsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Savion Ross' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Schlagle over Bonner Springs
Savion Ross continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his fifth-straight game with at least eight total tackles. He made 18 total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Schlagle has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. Ross and Schlagle will head out to face off against Tonganoxie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Sadly, Ronnie Bush posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Schlagle over Bonner Springs on Friday. Bush picked up 95 receiving yards and a touchdown. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 60 yards.
For the season, Bush has caught 2 touchdowns while averaging 29.8 receiving yards per game.

Chris Brown Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Highland Park was led to victory by Chris Brown, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Brown rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
Washington had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Brown it was a similar story. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Brown saw the Wildcats), he picked up 138 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Fox Came Up Big in Highland Park's 38-28 Victory
Dontrail Fox put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in October of 2023 on Thursday. He rushed for 47 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 177 yards and a touchdown on only 14 passes.
For the season, Fox has thrown 11 touchdowns while averaging 134.5 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 25.66 passer rating per game. This year he is averaging 94.2 passer rating.
