The Arcadia Titans will head out on the road to face off against the Arizona College Prep Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Arcadia sitting on nine straight wins and Arizona College Prep on four.
Arcadia can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 48-20 victory over Vista Grande at home.
Arcadia can attribute much of their success to Braylen Rooney, who threw for 197 yards and four touchdowns, and Brady Forst, who gained 156 total yards and three touchdowns. Forst hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for five straight games.
Meanwhile, Arizona College Prep narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Mesquite 15-12.
Arizona College Prep got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Thomas O'hara out in front who picked up 93 receiving yards and a touchdown. Jaxon Castro also helped out by tossing the rock for 255 yards.
Another reason for the win was Arizona College Prep's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. Mesquite's QB won't forget Cayden Gibson anytime soon given Gibson sacked him six times.
Arcadia's victory was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.0 points per game. As for Arizona College Prep, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
Arcadia was able to grind out a solid victory over Arizona College Prep when the teams last played back in October of 2022, winning 20-7. Will Arcadia repeat their success, or does Arizona College Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
