The North Surry Greyhounds will be playing at home against the West Wilkes Blackhawks at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. North Surry will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
Last Friday, North Surry sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 48-45 victory over the Falcons.
Sadie Badgett was her usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with eight rebounds and five blocks. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played. Callie Robertson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Meanwhile, West Wilkes came up short against the Vikings on Friday and fell 55-45. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for West Wilkes in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now lost four in a row.
North Surry has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for West Wilkes, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.
Everything came up roses for North Surry against the Blackhawks in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 73-41 win. Does North Surry have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blackhawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
