Even though the Victory Christian Eagles scored an imposing 55 points on Friday, the Trinity Christian Tigers still came out on top. Trinity Christian took down Victory Christian 71-55. The win made it back-to-back wins for Trinity Christian.
Carter Jordan was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Trinity Christian's points. Tyler Davenport was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Trinity Christian's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.2 points per game. As for Victory Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian will stay at home for another game and welcome Christ Covenant at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Victory Christian will take on Bethel Assembly Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bethel Assembly Christian Academy has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 10.
