Keller extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Lauren Scheiden. The Indians came out on top against the Southlake Carroll Dragons by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Scheiden, who had 24 digs and three assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last 11 games she's played.
Keller had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-19, 25-20, 25-17.
Keller was led to victory by Ansley Shafer and Teagan Barnes. Shafer had eight digs, while Barnes had 28 assists and seven digs. Those 28 assists gave Barnes a new career-high.
Despite the defeat, Southlake Carroll saw an underclassman step up: freshman Mariel Elizondo had 20 assists and 13 digs. Those 13 digs set a new season-high mark for Elizondo.
